The Real School of Music is on the lookout for the right YAMAHA GROUP CLASS INSTRUCTOR to join our team a minimum of 3 days per week, including Saturdays.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in music) OR life-experience teaching and being an awesome musician
1+ years professional teaching experience with beginner, intermediate, and advanced students. You’re able to work with all ages and have a special love for working with our youngest students ages 4-7 in a beginning group class environment

Flexibility in working with different music and learning styles as well as all age groups
Great communication and organizational skills

Yamaha teachers are experienced and well-rounded musicians with strong piano skills. Candidates will be asked to perform in an audition that includes:

• Piano repertoire performance

• Keyboard harmony proficiency

• Improvisation proficiency

• Sight singing and self-accompaniment

• Transposition proficiency

• Aural skills and knowledge of music theory

• Sample teaching
