Exciting opportunity for curatorial experience in the Department of Art of Ancient Greece and Rome. Curatorial duties may include improvement of records in the MFA’s collections-management database, object handling, object research, assisting with gallery work, and presentations to the general public. Rare opportunity to research the Etruscan or epigraphic collections as a special project.
Advanced graduate student in Greek or Roman Art strongly preferred.
Background in Etruscan Studies or Epigraphy a plus.
Excellent research, clerical, organizational and communication skills required.
Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
Applicants must be able to provide proof of U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
Period:
9 months (28 hours/week) from September 2023 through May 2024 (some flexibility in the start and end date)
