Assistant Manager of Visitor Services
Description:
Work in the fun
and educational environment of the Discovery Museum! The Assistant Manager of
Visitor Services is a primary contact for Museum visitors and responsible for
ensuring a positive visitor experience while also maintaining safe and
welcoming spaces.
Responsibilities
include: Supervising Floor
and Admissions staff, opening and closing the Museum, interacting with
visitors, operating the point-of-sale system for daily admissions and the Museum
store, handling on-site emergencies, and managing evening rentals. Must be able
to uphold Discovery Museum's COVID-19 safety policies and procedures.
This
position has a flexible schedule of 8-25 hours per week Friday - Sunday and
occasional evenings. Pay is $17.50 per hour.
Qualifications:
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and outgoing individual with excellent customer service skills and experience supervising staff. Interest in education and museums a plus.
