The Peabody Essex Museum, one of the largest and most dynamic art museums in the nation, is seeking highly motivated, committed and outgoing people to engage with visitors and enhance experiences as part-time, Guest Services Representatives.
Under the direction of the Guest Experience Supervisor, successful candidates will serve as both purveyor of museum and exhibition information and complement to our gallery security team. The Guest Services Representative will be key in creating a guest-centric visitor experience, engaging with all guests while also being an ambassador for the Museum and the community.
The Guest Services Representative must be comfortable conversing and interacting with the general public, have excellent problem solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm in varied situations. A strong candidate will have a friendly, personable manner, a genuine interest in art, and a desire to engage with people. Hired candidates will receive requisite training for the role and must be available to work a minimum of 19.0 hours between Thursday through Sunday. Weekend and evening hours are required. Additional hours for special programming may also apply. Conversational fluency in a language other than English a plus.
