Administrator of Outreach

Description:
The Administrator of Outreach is responsible for Essex Heritage programs that involve outside partners, fellow heritage organizations, and relationships with organizational leaders. The Administrator of Outreach’s primary function is to cultivate relationships with heritage partners to engage them in Essex Heritage initiatives. This role is part administrative, part project management, and part relationship and network building.
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage Visitor Center grant contracts and relationships
  • Oversee tourism print material distribution to visitor centers and other locations as available
  • Manage the annual Photo Contest (no photography experience necessary but a love of good images is helpful)
  • Assist CEO, Director of Operations, and Finance Manager with Board Meeting and Executive Committee Meeting preparations including sending reminder emails, compiling materials, and writing meeting minutes
  • Coordinating annual Trails & Sails event series including but not limited to: meeting with event hosts to inspire and list events and activities, proof reading event submissions, and leading marketing effort (in conjunction with Marketing and Engagement Manager) to promote event series
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Required:
  • Positive, upbeat demeanor with strong customer service skills
  • Able to improvise and adapt to surroundings and challenges
  • Strong attention to detail and proficient organization tactics
  • Previous experience (limited okay) with digital platforms including Microsoft Office, G Suite, and Adobe
  • Other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Work Environment (ADA analysis):Category of Light to Moderate work- occasionally exerting force to move objects, such as boxes of brochures, banners, and other required promotional materials.
