The Peabody Essex Museum, one of the most dynamic art museums in the nation, is seeking an experienced project manager in Marketing. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) the Marketing Project Manager (MPM) will support a cross-discipline team in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. The MPM is responsible for managing multi-faceted marketing campaigns from concept to completion while serving as the main point of contact for internal museum departments. The MPM will assign tasks, set deadlines for team members, and determine the project’s resource allocations. The day to day responsibilities for this position will include: manage scheduling, trafficking, planning, and resource management from concept through delivery for marketing projects and campaigns; developing and managing project plans and ensuring marketing projects are delivered as scheduled and within budget to best possible quality standards; attend project meetings with internal team and stakeholders, communicating clear action items; interacting with and guiding the creative team to develop and present design, copy, and marketing solutions for museum “clients” to accomplish marketing goals; and other administrative duties as required.
A minimum of two years of experience in planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and implementing projects is required. The ability to participate effectively as a leader and member of cross-functional teams and establish effective working relationships across museum departments is essential. Successful applicants have strong administrative, time management, organizational skills and experience overseeing a variety of projects. Experience with Project Management tools namely Monday.com strongly preferred. We are looking for an individual who is entrepreneurial, results-driven, energetic, dedicated, diplomatic, and able to maintain a sense of humor and grace under pressure. Experience with non-profits desired but not required.
