· Cleaning Shakespeare & Company’s facilities according to a schedule negotiated weekly, with varied hours according to programmatic activities on-site - cleaning, bagging and hauling trash, delivering recyclables to the designated areas, other specific duties as requested;

· Working to ensure that Shakespeare’s buildings and facilities are in a sanitary condition when occupied, especially in COVID times, and secure when unoccupied;

· Performing regularly scheduled inventories of cleaning supplies and identify needs for supplies;

· Assisting in other aspects of the upkeep and maintenance of Shakespeare & Company’s facilities, including serving as support staff for event set-up and clean-up and maintaining workplaces and living spaces on-site;

· Supervising others on daily tasks as assigned when requested;

· Working professionally with other employees of S&Co;

· Adhering to Company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, includingits diversity and inclusion efforts;

· Adhering to Company COVID safety policies; and

· Taking responsibility for the care of the vehicles, tools and equipment used.


· A completed COVID-19 vaccine regimen;

· Ability to lift 35 pounds;

· Valid driver’s license;

· Good communication skills;

· Experience in maintenance and/or housekeeping;

· A solid work ethic - good team player who has a good sense of humor.
