Enchanted Circle seeks artists to join our creative education team. Applicants must have teaching experience with children and youth in diverse educational settings and a passion for learning in and through the arts. Enchanted Circle teaching artists work in school and community-based education programs, facilitating arts integrated curricula and developing creative education programsto serve preschoolers through adults of all abilities. Our teaching artists are practicing artists in the disciplines of theater, dance, music, literary, visual and/or digital arts, who are committed to inclusive and social justice teaching practices and education.

Enchanted Circle is a non-profit arts-in-education organization dedicated to engaging, enhancing and inspiring learning through the arts. We partner with schools and community organizations to provide equal access to arts inspired learning for people of all ages and abilities. Our programs integrate the performing and visual arts with academic and social curricula to improve student achievement and the development of social emotional health. We have a proven history of excellence, rigor, and community commitment, bridging arts, education, and social services. Our partnerships are built on an unwavering commitment to equity, inclusion, and socially-just practices.

Ideal candidates will:

  • have experience teaching in English and Spanish, developing curriculum, and working collaboratively with others;
  • be passionate about working in diverse communities regarding age, race, ability, ethnicity, class, orientation and gender identity;
  • be interested in learning to facilitate ECT’s signature arts integration programs; and want to share their own educational values and areas of expertise to expand Enchanted Circle’s offerings.

Compensation is commensurate with experience - ranging from $20-30 hour. All Enchanted Circle personnel are hired as employees and paid for planning and facilitation, mileage and materials reimbursement, planning meetings, and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

Education and Qualifications: An undergraduate degree and/or demonstrated teaching experience with a wide range of age groups in educational settings, with evidence of artistic integrity in a chosen discipline.
