Music seeks to add more violin, viola, cello, guitar and piano
teachers. Some flexibility in days.
currently serve about 140 families from Wayland and the surrounding towns. The
local population values music education; we grew even during the pandemic, and
are now expanding rapidly. A new main road location is increasing that effect.
Several teachers are at capacity, and we are running out of slots for new
We offer private lessons (Suzuki and traditional), group classes (Suzuki and
non-Suzuki), and regular community performances. Since we have a flourishing
Suzuki program, we would prefer to hire Suzuki trained teachers - but all
qualified candidates will be considered.
rate: $52 private lessons, $56.50 chamber music coaching, $62 group
classes. Attendance and makeup policies underscore respect for teachers’
time and professionalism, and are firmly upheld.
Minimum 8-10 years professional teaching experience
For Suzuki teachers, registration through at least unit 2 in
Professional performing credentials (something that shows you
can play as well as teach)
Ability to work as part of a team, especially for Suzuki
teachers (we aim for a cohesive program)
Willingness to teach in person (with VERY strict health
protocols, details to be provided) in the immediate or fairly near future -
now, June or September (please note, we are not currently
looking currently for people to teach online only)
