College of Art is seeking an instructor with an undergraduate degree, teaching
certification and/or equivalent professional experience to teach 3D Design in
our Summer Pre-College Program.
The three-week summer residential Pre-College Program (July 12 - July 30, 2021) is
designed for high school students 16 years and older, and provides an intensive
introduction to the life and expectations at an art college. Students receive
rigorous visual art instruction and time to cultivate their foundation drawing
skills, as well as discover new subjects and mediums through our elective
The 3D Design class will meet from 1-4pm on alternating
weekdays throughout the program, or every day (Mon-Fri) if enrollment needs
allow for 2 sections.
develop skills and become familiar with basic tools and materials related to
working in 3-dimensions. Through short projects, emphasis is placed on art
concept, visual aesthetics, form, craft and how they can be helped through various
mediums and manipulation. Each student will walk away with an understanding in
the processes involved in 3D design from the first concept to final product.
