North Bennet Street School is seeking a full-time/temporary,
Communications Coordinator, reporting directly to the Associate Director of
Marketing & Communications. The
Communications Coordinate will help us highlight our talented community and
champion our important work. We’re looking for a creative, motivated, and
highly collaborative early-career professional who will coordinate content
production across multiple channels. Collaborating with the Marketing &
Engagement team, and across departments, you’ll create and share relevant and engaging
stories, posts, videos, and more. NBSS offers a creative and collegial
environment that’s small but ambitious. Your work will support our mission to
help students achieve meaningful lives and livelihoods.
- With direction from the Associate Director, assist
in creating, sharing, and tracking content across multiple channels:
o Content: stories, copy, posts, photos, videos,
graphics, ads, etc.
o Channels: print (magazine, postcards, handbooks,
invitations, etc.) and digital (website, blog, social media, email, etc.)
- Maintain NBSS webpages, social media profiles, and
- Work alongside creative and technical consultants
and help manage student interns
- Attend weekly virtual meetings via Zoom with
Associate Director of Marketing and other colleagues
- Uphold the quality, consistency, and innovation of
communications, producing the highest quality work that follows the School’s
editorial, brand, and digital guidelines
Qualifications and Skills
- Four-year degree and 1-2 years of experience, though this may be substituted with a similar amount of education and experience
- Professional experience managing a professional social media account is required
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
- Experience with email marketing platforms and/or HubSpot highly preferred; working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign is a bonus
- Must be able to travel to downtown Boston for occasional on-site work
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Attention to detail and impeccable judgement
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
- Possess a positive, relaxed, and helpful attitude
