Art Instructor (part time and/or seasonal)

Join the Minni team! We are seeking artists, designers, and educators who love teaching and working with children. We opened our brick & mortar creative space in the heart of SOWA in Boston’s South End in 2018. We host art and design classes, workshops, vacation programs and events for children ages 1.5 to 10 years old (and some adults too). We also partner with local educational and community organizations to bring Minni’s creative classes to the broader community. We believe deeply that weekly art making promotes joy, creativity, innovation, and critical thinking and love serving as a place of gathering to support children and families within the local community.

Minni instructors lead art and design classes in an engaging and inclusive manner. They help develop community and a sense of belonging for our patrons. Art and design course curriculum is provided and concepts, techniques, and processes are built upon each consecutive week. Through weekly classes Minni Instructors build relationships with students and families ensuring a safe, fun, and empowering atmosphere. Instructors are expected to help set up and cleanup before and after studio classes. In addition to weekly classes, Minni instructors also have the opportunity to teach one-off workshops, lead school vacation programs, and host parties and events. The ideal applicant is also comfortable teaching online classes and workshops via Zoom, when necessary.

We are currently seeking instructors for our 2021 Summer Program at 20–25 hours/week, running June 28–September 3.

COVID-19 Precautions

We are currently limiting capacity for all in-person classes and strictly following social distancing and cleaning protocol to keep our community healthy. All instructors are trained to conduct thorough health screenings before students enter the studio. Students ages 2+ are required to wear masks throughout scheduled programming and must wash their hands upon entering and leaving the studio.
