Description:
Position Purpose
This position is responsible for the preventative and general maintenance, inspection, and repair of the building, grounds and equipment of the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum® (BTSPM). You are to ensure that the image of our company is reflected in the appearance and condition of our equipment and facilities; while maintaining the company's high standards of safety and cleanliness.
Essential Functions
Perform preventive maintenance, general maintenance, inspections and install/repairs to building, grounds and equipment so the business continues to run smoothly and that the physical condition does not deteriorate; notify manager concerning the need for major repairs. This includes painting building and replacing equipment.
General maintenance duties include, but are not limited to, gather and empty trash; service, clean and supply restrooms; clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming; strip, seal, finish and polish floors; clean windows; dust furniture, walls, fixtures and office machines; sweep outdoor walkways, and keep grounds free of litter.
**SCHEDULE IS 4 DAYS ON / 3 DAYS OFF
