Braille Press is looking for flexible part-time employees with open
availability to work on-site with a blind braille proofreader. A
qualified individual will read print text aloud while a blind braille
proofreader simultaneously verifies braille text and images for
accuracy. The position is per diem, seasonal from now through April
2019, Monday through Friday, 8-5pm. Need may vary widely from week to
week, dependent upon the volume of work. Readers are contacted by work
coordinators a day or two before the need. There is possibility of continuing the position
beyond the end of April.
Applicants should have
an excellent command of the English language and be available to begin work
as soon as possible.
- High School diploma; Associate's preferred.
- Flexibility in work hours
- Knowledge of Spanish preferred.
