The Numad Group is a national, full-service communication and fundraising firm based in Boston, Massachusetts and Rapid City, South Dakota, that partners with mission-driven nonprofits across the country. Our clients do important work in the areas of arts and culture, education, and basic human needs. From Off-Broadway theater companies in New York City to the largest hunger relief organization in California, we partner with large, nationally known nonprofits and smaller rural organizations that create positive change in the communities they support.
The primary responsibility of the Graphic Design and Communication Associate is to support our creative team in the graphic design of print and digital materials. The successful candidate must bring strong creative ability and technical skills, pay acute attention to detail, have the ability to work independently, and produce under pressure in a fast-paced (and exciting) environment. The position requires copywriting and editing. Preference given to candidates who also bring digital technology experience (including website development, email platforms and video/audio editing). The Graphic Design and Communications Associate must enjoy working in a small, entrepreneurial environment that is values-driven, results-driven and community oriented.
The position will be based in our Boston, Massachusetts office. Salary based on experience. Benefits package includes health insurance and retirement plan.
Bring creative flair, originality, and the ability to both understand client needs and take feedback.
Support the public relations of The Numad Group through the development of presentations, blog entries, social media posts, or other materials as assigned.
Work with the creative team to develop concepts and solutions to help support the client project.
Essential Job Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
Mastery understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and more).
Proven ability to design a wide variety of graphic work, including logos, annual reports, print newsletters, posters and billboards, brochures and others.
Ability to copy edit and proof content on projects.
Experience with email platforms (MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.), and website platforms (Squarespace, WordPress). Experience with video and audio editing a big plus.
Experiencing managing social media platforms.
Ability to foster effective working relationships, even across long distances.
Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, graphic design, or related field OR 3+ years of experience as a graphic designer.
