Cinema Event Manager

The Cinema Event Manager oversees movie screening events in order to maximize the patron experience. The Cinema Event Manager must interact with customers to make sure that they have a satisfactory experience, have knowledge of our box office procedures and policies, hold an active TIPS certification, maintain a clean house, learn some basic technical components on our cinema rack and the ability to manage and delegate tasks to volunteers during movie events.

Box Office/Ticketing

· Sell and print tickets

· Communicate box office policy and information about screenings

· Maintain cash bank

· E-mail ticket sale totals


· Assess and make the appropriate amount of popcorn for the movie event

· Track popcorn packets cooked for bookkeeping/inventory purposes

· Sell concessions and alcohol under the guidelines of the Town of Natick and TCAN

· Maintain cash bank

Technical components

· Have basic knowledge of cinema components including volume, masking, lighting and Surface troubleshooting

Volunteer management/Housekeeping

· Maintain a clean and organized appearance of the lobby, theater and bathrooms

· Allow volunteers to watch movies while making them aware that they may be responsible for assisting the event manager – at the event manager’s discretion

Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Organized and self-motivated with strong time management skills

Ability to work effectively under pressure

Ability to collaborate with and support team members including volunteers
