Dance Assistant for Children’s Youth Summer Program (Ages 6-8)


Each summer, The Hanover Theatre runs Youth Summer Programs for students ages 6-18. The children’s program offers students, ages 6-8, opportunities to learn and explore in the world of musical theatre. Daily classes feature theatre games, dance combinations, music appreciation, singing, visual arts and much, much more. All classes are taught by master teaching artists. A showcase of student work will be held on the final day of the program.


•Active involvement with children, ages 6-8

•Assisting with dance combinations and movement

•Developing dance combinations when needed

•Caring for children’s needs

•Assisting with drop-off and pick-up

•Collaborating with program educators

•Possible arts and crafts

•General help with the day to day activities of the Youth Summer Program



· Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4pm

· Children’s Session: June 24th - July 5th (no classes on July 4)


•Must be pursuing a degree in the performing arts, or related field

•Strong interest in performing arts and arts education, specifically with elementary aged children

•Previous experience and training in dance

•Excellent communication skills (comfortable with public speaking)

•Proven self-starter and desire to take initiative

•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

•Confident personality with the motivation to achieve results

•Strong attention to detail

•Punctual and dependable

•Reliable Transportation (parking will be provided)

•Must be 19+
