Campaign Manager

Jacob’s Pillow seeks a Campaign Manager to join the Development Department and work closely with the Director of Development, trustees, volunteer committee members, and the Director of Jacob’s Pillow. Responsibilities will include the execution of strategies for donors and volunteers; research and tracking activities for prospects and donors; organization, production and maintenance of campaign materials and data; coordination of committees, volunteers and campaign leadership; planning and preparing for campaign related meetings and events; and other duties as assigned. This is a part-time - 25 hours per week non-benefited position.


  • Work with staff and volunteers to support and execute cultivation strategies
  • Develop and maintain a system to manage and track all activities with volunteers, prospects and donors
  • Work with and support the efforts of campaign volunteers
  • In collaboration with staff, write and produce campaign materials including proposals, grant requests, letters, reports, newsletters, presentation pieces, and other materials as needed
  • Manage and execute cultivation and stewardship events
  • Conduct prospect research and create donor profiles
  • Manage mailings of capital campaign materials to staff, volunteers, consultants, prospects and donors
  • Manage communications regularly with key staff and volunteer leadership
  • Gather statistics and other data for reports
  • Develop and maintain project work schedules and call report meetings at appropriate times
  • Track and manage all gifts and pledges, and campaign-related expenses
    manage tracking systems for prospect research, ratings, and follow-up actions
  • Set up meetings; schedule rooms and catering, send meeting notices; confirm attendance; record and distribute meeting minutes
  • Create and maintain all computer and hard-copy files and data pertinent to the capital campaign
  • Maintain confidentiality of all campaign information, records and files
  • Generate acknowledgement letters and pledge reminders for the campaign
  • Provide general support for the Development Office’s objectives and priorities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Occasionally may be required to work evenings and/or weekends


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Four years of experience in non-profit fund development
  • Experience using a fundraising database

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or fundraising databases such as Raiser’s Edge
  • Five to Seven years in non-profit fund development
  • Experience in working on a significant capital campaign
  • Significant data entry experience
  • Proficiency with Google applications such as Gmail, Google Docs and Google Sheets

  • A self-starter attitude and excellent customer relations skills
  • A willingness to complete the administrative work necessary to support the Campaign
