Artistic / Administrative Intern Description


The two Arts Administrative interns will work closely with various departments in artistic administration for the Summer 2019 season.

· Dramaturgy

o Work with the company dramaturg on research materials for productions as well as program insert materials and lobby displays

· Direction

o Opportunity to serve as assistant to the director on one of the 4 main season productions

o Assist the Artistic Director on a variety of tasks including coordinating artists for panel discussions, organizing special events, and script organization

· Company Management

o Assist the Operations Manager in coordinating artist travel and housing

o Assist with union contract organization

o Check in with artists to ensure housing needs are met

o Support stage management with rehearsal hospitality

· Box Office / House Management

o Daily phone sales / order processing

o Working with Box Office Manager and volunteer ushers to run front of house and assist with house management.

· Marketing and Development

o Assist with special event planning, invitation, and set up

o Data entry and database management

o Website and email marketing

The successful candidate should have both experience working in an office environment and an interest in pursuing a career in the theatre/arts administration. Interns work closely with multiple departments, so we are seeking candidates who are professional, self- motivated, and detail oriented.

Pursuing and educational degree in Artistic Administration
