RAW was incorporated in 1988 and our art therapists worked exclusively in youth detention centers. In 1994, RAW opened in Lynn, and over the past 22 years, has become an anchor in the community as a nationally-recognized youth development organization. Today, over 1,200 youth aged 6-19 attend RAW’s free programs each year including visual arts groups, a film school, a writing program, leadership development opportunities and teen employment. At RAW we recognize the vital potential of each young artist and commit ourselves daily to our mission: to ignite the desire to create and the confidence to succeed.

The Office Manager is a critical member of the team, reporting to the Director of Operations. A successful candidate for this role has an insatiable drive to tackle problems as they arise and quickly restore order while balancing a multitude of other priorities. They are a results-oriented professional who will embrace the responsibility of managing systems and a myriad of tasks essential to the efficient daily operations of RAW. The Office Manager is able to work at a high level, keeping a constant eye to our building and administrative processes, while also performing the administrative work to support those systems. The Office Manager must possess a high degree of initiative, energy and stamina, a willingness to embrace technology and a friendly, responsive and approachable demeanor to support our staff of 25 professional artists and fundraising professionals.

Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:
  • Fiscal responsibilities include all donation processing, bank deposits, vendor invoice processing, staff time sheets, and preparing preliminary month end financials to support Director of Operations
  • Coordinate facilities projects and maintenance, keeping a constant and evolving schedule of weekly, monthly, annual, and long-term maintenance needs
  • Support the Development Team with database maintenance; event logistics, including set up and clean up; and assist with mailing projects
  • Provide simple workstation user support, and work closely with IT company to ensure all technology issues are resolved quickly and efficiently
  • Supervise two youth Office Assistants
  • Perform additional tasks as needed, including but not limited to HR support, data entry, and keeping an office supply inventory.

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills necessary, including Excel
  • Spanish language skills highly desired

Educational Requirement:  Bachelor’s degree preferred. A wide range of disciplines is acceptable.

RAW is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization based in Lynn, Massachusetts. We currently offer over 50 annual groups and programs joining art therapy, arts education and youth media/filmmaking with youth development. Founded in 1988 and staffed by art therapists and teaching artists, RAW’s mission is to ignite the desire to create and the confidence to succeed in underserved youth.
