Art Gallery Intern
Established Newbury Street art gallery seeks an Intern for Winter/Spring 2019 whose responsibilities will include the following duties:
General clerical duties including filing, copying, typing, and other related tasks.
Preparation and distribution of direct mailing projects related to Gallery artists and events.
Assist in the transportation and installation of fine art in various Gallery spaces.
Assist in the production and execution of outgoing Gallery correspondence.
Assist in the greeting and introduction of the Gallery to potential clients and visitors.
Various small projects and errands, as needed.
This is an excellent opportunity for a student who is working toward a degree in Art History or a recent graduate who is eager to learn about the business and operation of an incredibly active art gallery. Ideal candidate will be conscientious, flexible and organized with the ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously. The Gallery is open seven days/week. Our internships are unpaid and part time. Our ideal candidate is able to work two weekdays and one day of the weekend beginning at the end of December/beginning of January through end of May/beginning of June. We are flexible with our scheduling and work with our interns to accommodate their schedules and needs.

Pucker Gallery was established on Newbury Street in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood in 1967 and features an eclectic and sophisticated collection of international contemporary and modern art. The gallery exhibits paintings, works on paper, photographs, mobiles and sculptures, as well as a significant collection of fine art ceramics.
