Oversees the day-to day operations of the arts center under the supervision of the Executive Director. Comprehensive understanding and hands on use of QuickBooks: enter bills, print/ prepare checks, payroll and maintain A/P and A/R and related files. Service industry experience a plus - part of the position involves customer service and rentals of our facility. Paid training will begin in December, or as soon as the right candidate has been selected. Part-time staff position with up to 20 hours per week.
Exceptional organizational and logistical skills, excellent math, verbal and written communication skills. Excellent MS Word and Excel proficiency also expected, along with proficiency and hands on working knowledge of QuickBooks. Ability to generate reports from QB and Excel and with MS Word. Fast-paced arts environment that requires strong people skills, attention to detail
and ability to see the bigger but never losing track of the details. Must be able to work both
independently, be a team player, work well under
pressure, be able to multi-task effectively, have a sense of humor and an
appreciation of diverse urban populations.
