Fleet Maintenance Coordinator
Williams is pleased to announce the opening of a Fleet Maintenance Coordinator in Facilities. This is a full-time (40 hrs. /week), year-round position in the Facilities Department. The Williams College Facilities Department manages and maintains Williams' 100+ buildings as well as 450 acres of gardens, lawns and athletic fields. In addition, it supports and maintains 111 faculty and staff housing units as well as commercial properties. Facilities is committed to prompt, professional service to students, faculty and staff. Reporting to the Manager for Procurement and Auxiliary Services, the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator will be part of a team that maintains the College automotive fleet - totaling more than 100 vehicles. The fleet is comprised of College Cars (14 vehicles used by student groups and staff), the facilities department service fleet (45 vehicles for maintenance staff), and numerous vehicles operated by other departments. The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator will perform daily inspection/cleaning of the College Car fleet including but not limited to operational inspections, washing, and interior cleaning as necessary. In addition, the Fleet Maintenance Coordinator will perform routine preventative maintenance - oil and filter changes, handle minor maintenance repairs, and perform weekly safety and mechanical inspection of vehicles. They will also be involved with administering the driving test to those students interested in driving the larger 12 passenger vans and will provide instruction on their safe operation.
