Visitor Services Representative

Description:

Visitor Services Representatives are responsible for greeting visitors, promoting Museum Memberships and general admission tickets, and ensuring that all visitors have a positive overall Museum experience this includes being able to briefly explain exhibits and collections. This is a part-time position, 3-4 days a week with availability on weekends.


Responsibilities include:

· Admission sales to the Museum.

· Offering to sell or renew Museum Membership at the beginning of every appropriate transaction.

· Accurate cash handling and reconciliation using Square POS system.

· Welcoming all visitors.

· Creative problem solving and resolution of visitor issues.

· Provide information on Museum exhibits and activities to enhance the visitor experience.

· Perform a combination of clerical tasks to support administrative operations.

· Additional duties as assigned in support of the mission of the Museum, including various weekly clerical duties.

Qualifications:


· 1-3 years of related experience in customer service and cash handling required

· Excellent customer service skills

· Familiarity with PC/Macintosh Computers

· Cash handling expertise

· Strong communication skills; verbal and written fluency in English.

· Solid organizational and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work as a team player

· Ability to work Apple products or quick to learn various technologies

· Availability to work weekends and some evenings
