VOICES Boston is looking to expand our Board of Directors. We are a non-profit organization based in Brookline, MA which provides Choral Training for children aged 5- 15.
VOICES Boston was founded as PALS Children’s Chorus 29 years ago by Jody Hill Simpson. With singing at its core and training in dance and drama, VOICES Boston changes the lives of its children, building confidence, discipline, leadership and a love of music that lasts a lifetime. VOICES Boston has collaborated with internationally known ensembles including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera, Boston University Opera Institute, Boston Baroque, Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras and Boston Early Music Festival. VOICES Boston choristers perform a wide range of repertoire, from classical to world music, gospel to new music and present a musical/operetta every year.
The VOICES Boston board is 100% volunteer and is made up of members who are involved with the organization in different ways. From parents to music educators, alumni and performing artists, we offer strategic guidance to the organization adhering to our mission.

We are looking for folks with a variety of experience in supporting non-profit organizations including fundraising, development, marketing and communications, art education, and strategic planning.

About this Organization:
Founded 29 years ago, VOICES Boston is a nationally recognized after-school performing arts program in Brookline, MA. It serves some 150 children, grades K-8, throughout Greater Boston, with an outstanding performing arts education, regardless of their families' financial circumstances. The program includes world-class choral training combined with instruction in dance and drama. VOICES has collaborated with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera, Boston Baroque, Boston Early Music Festival, Cantata Singers, Boston Musica Viva, among others, and performed at Boston's Symphony Hall, Tanglewood, New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall, Carnegie Hall and concert halls around the world.
