Are you passionate and curious about theatre? Are you a writer/producer/theatre entrepreneur who is looking to start your career with hands-on experience in a creative environment, with multi-faceted responsibilities? You might be a great fit for the HowlRound team! The HowlRound Fellow reports to the Communications Manager and works in close collaboration with the HowlRound team to advance the efforts of HowlRound Theatre Commons.

Working knowledge of the not-for-profit theatre sector and a theatre and/or arts background is required, as are strong communication skills and the ability to mutli-task and work as part of a collaborative team in a fast paced environment. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Must be detail oriented, computer proficient, and adaptable. Experience with online publishing, social media, digital marketing, email platforms such as Mailchimp, and CRM management is a plus.

HowlRound is an international online theatre commons rooted at Emerson College and includes an online journal, HowlRound TV,and The World Theatre Map. It is a place for artists to provide feedback, learning, expertise, frustration, and vision—in an effort to enliven the fields of theatre and performance to the aspiring and established artist alike.

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, opposite the historic Boston Common and in the heart of the city’s Theatre District, Emerson College educates individuals who will solve problems and change the world through engaged leadership in the liberal arts, communication, and the arts.
