views their internship program to be a growth opportunity for both the intern
and the agency. Cambridge Arts Community
Arts Assistant Interns will be under close supervision, guidance and mentorship
of the Director of Community Arts and will work very closely with a variety of
professionals in different fields, including government & city agencies,
local businesses, cultural & community organizations, artists, and
more. Interns will assist in the
implementation of Cambridge Arts Community Arts Programs as needed. Tasks may include but are not limited to:
communicating with artists and community members, creation and distribution of
materials, conducting audience surveys, tracking proposals and activities,
negotiating and creating contracts, scheduling and booking events, maintaining
budgets, grant writing, sponsor cultivation, etc. It is a great opportunity for the intern to
learn event production, marketing strategies, grant processes and procedures,
industry standards, general office experience, etc. It is also a tremendous way
to build valuable hands-on work experience and networks in the field of arts
administration. Cambridge Arts staff will work with the intern to identify a
project area below to focus on based on his/her strengths and ambitions.
All Community Arts
Assistant Internships are unpaid, part-time (10-15 hours per week), immersive,
