Manager of Institutional Giving


The Norman Rockwell Museum is searching for a Manager of Institutional Giving who can tell stories that can move hearts and gifts, in person and on paper. This person is responsible for identifying, soliciting and stewarding institutional funders. He/she researches prospective individuals, corporate and private foundations, government sources of support and other institutional donors, helps staff match priority projects with institutional funder priorities, writes proposals, prepares presentations, participates in solicitation calls as required, manages required grant reporting, and stewards donors.



Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have samples that make us want to take out our checkbooks, 3-4 years’ experience in a comparable role, great research skills, successful experience meeting with foundation representatives, a knowledge of the not-for-profit foundation world, both corporate and private, excellent computer and online application skills, and a desire to make the world a better place.Excellent writing and communication skills and a dedication to excruciating detail and slavish adherence to deadlines a must.  Bachelors Degree preferred.
