News Intern

CCTV is seeking interns to produce multimedia news pieces for our cable channels and for CCTV Cambridge News, our innovative citizen journalism initiative.

Interns will deliver Cambridge-centric news and information, with a particular focus on hyperlocal and underreported stories. Interns will report on interesting people, places, issues and events happening in the city by means of the following production opportunities:

Video News Packages: Conceive, shoot and edit video news packages, working alone as a “one-person-band” or as part of a team.

Articles: Write articles and shoot photos for web-only content, creating compelling and interactive multimedia news pieces.

Audio Packages: Create captivating audio stories to be embedded with an accompanying article.

Cambridge Uncovered: Produce episodes of this monthly issues-based studio talk show; book guests; write intros and outros; develop topics for discussion; and host/moderate.

Interns will be placed in either the rotational track, in which they will rotate through these areas of production; or on the progressive track, in which expectations and turnaround times are increased exponentially throughout the semester.
