Group Sales Manager

Description:
The Group Sales Manager, reporting to the Director of Sales and Corporate Development and the VP & General Manager of the Boch Center, will coordinate and execute all group and non-traditional sales initiatives and fulfillment for attractions performing at, or presented by, the Boch Center, as well as working with partner organizations and other venues.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Help implement marketing strategies; identify targets for group and corporate sales.
  • Respond to sales inquiries.
  • Oversee group ticket sales & customer service (phone coverage, payment/release of unpaid accounts, accurate orders & paperwork for Box Office, Front of House, and other guests).
  • Compile and edit mailing list for group mailings.
  • Provide detailed reporting of sales activities on an attraction by attraction basis.
  • Promote super group code sales program to existing and potential prospects.
  • Maintain group website content.
  • Represent Boch Center group sales department at networking events, conferences, and meetings.
  • Work events and performances, greeting and assisting group clients as needed.
  • Coordinate and execute the Group Tour Program at venues.
  • Maintain/use historical group sales data, performing ongoing analysis, perform list maintenance for email or direct mail solicitations.
  • Perform all other duties customarily performed by a Group Sales Manager, or as directed by the employer.
Qualifications:
  • Prior group sales or ticketing experience, including marketing, with a proven track record of increasing sales.
  • Ability to coordinate sales campaigns of multiple attractions simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle heavy call/customer contact volume.
  • Ability to work well within the Boch Center’s team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, in order to work with customers and other constituents.
  • Extraordinary organizational skills.
  • Experience working independently in high energy and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to provide creative strategies and solutions, and to implement them.
  • Proven track record in developing, growing, and expanding new and existing client relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and working knowledge of Powerpoint, Access, Ticketmaster/Shubert Ticketing System and other related software packages.
