The STEAM Educator & Program Manager, as a
member of the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) team, is
responsible for maintaining the vision for and managing the delivery of
high-quality, educational, fun, and engaging STEAM experiences for museum
visitors. The STEAM Educator & Program Manager reports to the Senior
Director, STEAM, and works in collaboration with the STEAM team and other
departments to lead development of, prototype, evaluate, and deliver drop-in
programs, exhibit components, events, and other resources and materials. This
may include curricular materials, workshop sessions for visitors, and
professional development sessions for educators outside of the museum. To all
of these experiences, the STEAM Educator & Program Manager will bring a
strong understanding of and experience with applying educational theories and
HOURS: Monday-Thursday, 9am-5pm, Friday
with a minimum of 5 years of experience in STEM or STEAM education, museum
studies, maker spaces with children, child development, etc.; Masters degree
knowledge and understanding of informal education and family learning in
setting such as children’s museums, including pedagogical strategies and best
developing activities for children ages 0 – 10 and an understanding of children’s
emotional, intellectual, and social development.
