CraftBoston Holiday Volunteer Sign-Up

The show will be held in the weekend of December 12 - December 16, 2018 at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston, MA 02115.
Volunteers can choose their work times and assignments. All training is done on-site. Volunteers will need to arrive 15 minutes early to their assigned shift.
The priority deadline to sign up to volunteer for CraftBoston is November 25, 2018. You will be contacted with your volunteer assignment in early December. After November 25, we welcome volunteer sign-ups right up until the show date, but we cannot guarantee placement in a preferred volunteer shift.
This is a great opportunity to interact with artists and show staff and one of our most needed positions! Answer questions, escort artists to and from their assigned booth, and provide help as they install/uninstall their works. There is often a lot of walking during set-up and take-down. This could Include heavy lifting (15 lbs): strength needed, and comfortable, non-slip shoes a must!
See the inner workings of CraftBoston. Help support the livelihood of exhibiting artists by selling CraftBoston tickets at the registration counter. Requirements: must be courteous and patient, and comfortable handling payments and using a touch screen device such as an iPhone.
Fundraiser Party Assistance
Give us a hand with our preview party, Makers in the Round. Volunteer will help with will call names, keeping party food areas tidy, and collecting jackets. This may also include selling CraftBoston party tickets at the registration counter. Requirements: must be courteous and patient, and comfortable handling payments and using a touch screen device such as an iPhone. Volunteers must also make guests feel welcome by greeting them at the door.
Enthusiastically welcome all show attendees at the main entrance, check for tickets, hand out show programs, answer questions, provide directions, and generate excitement about the show!
Provide a much-needed rest for an artist! Meet the artists and help them by briefly staffing their booth during meal breaks. Booth sitting is a great way to learn more about the artists and their work.
Shifts are between 2.5-5 hours each. Please indicate how many TOTAL shifts you would like to be assigned. Volunteers are needed from Wednesday, December 12 through Sunday, December 16, 2018.
