The Charlestown Site Coordinator will work with NEMPAC and its’ partner locations in Charlestown to organize and implement quality after-school music programming. The coordinator will work on-site at each partner location to ensure the facility needs are met for each instructor and will collaborate with the site supervisors to manage instructors and students who are involved in the programming. The coordinator will work to strengthen relationships with partners & families in Charlestown by community engagement and on-site supervision. The coordinator must be available for most programming days during instruction hours which are Monday through Friday between 2:30-6pm. The schedule will vary depending on the day. Occasional weekend and evening hours as needed. He/she will report to the Educational Programs Director, and will assist in the program planning for each of the Charlestown partner locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a Charlestown or surrounding neighborhood resident to become more involved in the community!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordination of lessons and classes in Charlestown
On-site supervision of instructors, facilities, and operations
Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for the partner locations
Work with Educational Programs Director on scheduling, expansion, and evaluation
Serve as official NEMPAC representative for faculty, students, and families in the partner locations
Assist Executive Director and Educational Director community events in both Charlestown and the North End as needed
Other duties as assigned that pertain to Charlestown programming and expansion
Excellent time management skills
Organized and efficient
Ability to problem solve quickly
Superior communication skills (writing and speaking)
Easy access to transportation, car is not required
Passionate about the arts and education
Bachelor’s or working towards a degree in arts administration, education, business, music, or anything relevant to the position
Familiarity with Charlestown neighborhood and community!
