Fundraising and Development Assistants

The Rainbow Connection Performing Arts Company of Boston was founded in 2018 with a mission to provide paid opportunities for the LGBT+ artist community of Boston while telling queer stories. Unfortunately due to some unforeseen circumstances we had to delay our debut production "The Dark I Know Well: A Musical Revue" indefinitely while we work to fundraise and plan more in depth. RC Boston is currently run and managed by one person and we are looking for more people to assist.
We are hoping to find two or three individuals who are passionate about the arts to help us with this initial fundraising and planning. This position will involve assisting the founder/ artistic director in planning fundraisers and potentially helping to come up with a more solid and fine-tuned plan for the company.
This is a volunteer position with the possibility of a small stipend in the future. May also be used as an internship.
The Ideal Candidate will:
  • Have at least two years of fundraising experience.
  • Had planned a number of fundraisers with proven success.
  • Have a strong passion for the arts.
  • Is LGBT+ or an ally of the community.
  • Has experience in the arts industry (performing, visual, or otherwise).
