Development Intern

Beyond Walls is seeking a college-aged, recent graduate or early-career professional to assist in day-to-do fundraising operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, creative team in a fast-paced startup environment.

The Beyond Walls development intern will support the work of the Beyond Walls team by assisting with the following:

  • helping with data entry and maintaining our database (Raiser’s Edge) and filing system

  • Assisting with researching, writing, and assembly of grant proposals

  • Prospect Research Projects

  • Direct Mail campaigns

  • Website maintenance/email campaigns

  • Other aspects as needed


All candidates:

  • should have a genuine interest in learning about creative placemaking, fundraising, non profit management, and/or arts administration

  • must be highly organized and have excellent writing and research skills

  • Can commit 15-20 hours/week; days are flexible

  • ability to work independently, take initiative, and approach problems creatively;

  • flexible, detail oriented, and organized;

  • ability to multitask and prioritize;

  • ability to respect privacy and confidentiality of donors;

  • possess a professional demeanor.

Beyond Walls is a creative placemaking non profit based in Lynn, Massachusetts. We activate space to strengthen our communities.

We partner with local organizations, municipalities, community members, and expert consultants to design, produce, and manage projects/programs that infuse public art and creative experiences into underutilized or overlooked spaces.
