PART-TIME MUSEUM EDUCATOR- Gore Place Waltham, MA

Description:

Gore Place is hiring a part-time museum educator 20-25 hrs/week, year round. Responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of programs for elementary age students and supervise elementary education program interns and volunteers. Contribute to the evaluation and development of educational activities in existing programs and collaborate with museum staff on programs for older adults (55+). Participate in education program grant writing. 



Qualifications:
Successful candidates will have previous experience in museum teaching and understand current best practices in museum education. Be able to give tours of the mansion and be comfortable dealing with all ages, be able to work independently and in a team environment, be able to work occasional weekends and be comfortable in climbing stairs.
