Green Street Studios is seeking an enthusiastic programming intern to join the team for the fall term. The intern will work with the GSS administrative team, under the direction of the Programming Director. A strong candidate would be a college student or recent graduate with experience or demonstrated interest in the arts or arts administration. The internship includes work in operations, programming and marketing at GSS.
A successful intern will:
Assist with planning and execution of fall programming at GSS (classes, workshops and special events).
Assist with marketing GSS programming.
Support GSS faculty in managing sign-ins for their weekly classes, including troubleshooting.
Work well both independently and collaboratively with a small team of dedicated employees.
Be willing to “get their hands dirty” and assist with a wide range of tasks required to maintain operations at GSS.
Represent GSS to the community and assist dancers, artists and patrons in their use of the space.
Be able to commit 10-15 hours per week from date of hire through the end of the fall semester.

Committed to serving the community for over 20 years, GSS offers affordable space in three large studios – 2 with wall to wall Marley on sprung floors and one with a specially made percussive floor perfect for Tap, Flamenco, Irish Step and more. Our largest space converts into a black-box theater that can hold up to 130 audience members.
GSS is home to several of the greater Boston area’s most recognized choreographers and dance & theater companies, and our inspiring and highly experienced teachers offer instruction in a wide range of dance & movement forms including Modern, Ballet, Contemporary, Back To The Marley/ballet barre on the floor, Hip Hop, Jazz, Flamenco, Balken, Belly, Hawaiian, Capoeira, and a variety of improvisation modalities and somatic movement.
We develop innovative programming for choreographers that puts the focus on rigorous exploration, deeply original invention, and artistic excellence. GSS will access and achieve a large and diversified audience-base by helping to present the outcome of these programs to the public through both informal showings, formal performances, and our first curated season of dance 2015-2016.
