Marketing and Media Intern

Description:

Boston Children’s Chorus (BCC) is seeking an organized and creative Marketing and Media Intern. The Intern plays an active and hands-on role in the continued growth and evolution of the organization. Impeccable writing is a must. Interns will have opportunities to learn and crossover to other departments to provide a general idea of nonprofit administration.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring consistent representation of organizational brand, image, and position in all areas
  • Producing content for social media, email campaigns, and more
  • Helping to create and design media across all platforms
  • Updating and maintaining media archives, press archives, promotional materials, press list, and kits
  • Researching marketing, communications, and digital media trends

Learning Objectives and Benefits:

Interns will gain experience in project management, marketing and communications strategy, advancement, and graphic design. Interns will improve organizational skills, time management skills, flex creativity, and write compelling, mission-driven content.

Qualifications:

You bring with you… A passion for youth, arts, education, community organizing, and/or social justice. Impeccable writing and a creative spirit. A love of storytelling. Adaptability and flexibility, because life happens. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube). Experience with video editing and/or graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) highly desired. Marketing and communications experience a plus.
