Maintenance Supervisor/Lead Carpenter
Reporting to the AVP of Facilitiesthe
is responsible for overseeing maintenance staff and performs
routine building maintenance.
It is expected that all
employees of the BAC are able to be flexible and work collaboratively in order
to meet the needs of the College. Accordingly, other duties, responsibilities and
activities may be assigned at any time to successfully meet the needs of the
PRIMARY ESSENTIAL Functions:
work requests from staff
electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC repairs as needed
on-call services: liaison with vendors and coordinator construction as needed
life safety equipment is maintained and in good order
the smooth operation of all building equipment
department employee reviews
back up security staff
coherent work request system with timely response
staff on safety protocols, OSHA compliance, and other “Tool Boy Talks”
that all buildings are clean and neat
A minimum of a high school
diploma, preferably at a vocational school.
minimum of three years of supervisory experience, preferably in an academic
environment. Demonstrates ability to perform variety of tasks in the building
trades, with emphasis on carpentry and HVAC equipment maintenance.
to give clear direction to subordinates
ability to maintain the highest professional standards in carpentry
of OSHA, MSDS, and ADA standards
with vendor contracting practices
supervisory background in at least one of the building trades
to communicate effectively with team members and the public.
with MS Office desirable
to respond to emergencies during weekends and nights
