Teacher of Piano Needed

Description:

The Maestro Musicians Academy is a new music school that serves Lexington, MA and its surrounding towns. We are looking for a piano teacher to grow a new studio from scratch in an area with high demand. The mission of the Academy is to positively shape and influence our common culture and be a positive and inspiring role model for children. Lessons take place at the Lexington United Methodist Church on 2600 Mass. Ave and/or at students' homes in Lexington, Bedford, Watertown, Winchester, Lincoln, Belmont, and other nearby areas.


Prospective teacher must also be ok with the fact that the studio will start out small, as this is a new venture and no set hours are guaranteed per semester until student(s) sign(s) up. Interviews for teachers will take place on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the following qualifications: 1. Undergraduate degree in performance or education with specific concentration in piano 2. Excellent rapport with children and their parents, which includes good communication skills and pleasant demeanor 3. Ability to communicate on a regular basis with employer in a timely fashion 4. Work authorization to be employed in the USA. 5. Ability to get to 2600 Mass Ave or surrounding towns in a timely fashion - Please check MBTA Journey Planner and plan a hypothetical trip on a weekday to arrive by 3:30 PM to determine if you can take the bus to our location. There are no trains near the church.
