School Partner Program, Grades K-8
Arts Center (BAC) is seeking an art teacher to work with children grades K-8
for several School Partnership classes this winter. The teacher will be
responsible for providing overall class goals and objectives, developing class
content and curriculum and providing a nurturing environment for students.

ART MEDLEY (grades K-2)
Mondays (8 wks),

creativity loose with the opportunity to try a variety of materials and art
styles! Children experiment in sculpture, printmaking, painting and more for
unique and exciting creations.
CARTOONING AND COMICS (grades 3-5)

learn the fundamentals of cartooning and various approaches to visual
storytelling by looking at the work of published cartoonists. Students have the
opportunity to develop their own narrative. By the end of class, each student
develops a working knowledge of character creation, environment design, page
layout and visual storytelling.
WHAM! POW! ART! (grades K-2)

In this class
students will explore the world of comic book art through a variety of projects
involving drawing, painting and mixed media. We will bring our own characters
to life, create heroes and villains and learn about storytelling, paneling and
ANIMATION (grades 6-8)

at the Brookline Teen Center
class, we will develop characters and comics with a three-dimensional twist!
Students will bring their drawn characters to life using sculpey clay, found
materials and sewing techniques. They will then have the opportunity to
experiment with short stop-motion animation of their creations.
