Programming and Festival Production Intern

The Boston Jewish Film Festival is looking for Fall 2018 interns with a passion for the arts and who want to learn first-hand how film festivals work as well as make industry connections. Our 2018 festival will be from November 7th to the 19th at local theaters and venues throughout the Greater Boston area.

As a Programming and Festival Production Intern you will help us choose and program films for one of New England's largest film festivals! On the programming side you will work side-by-side with the Artistic Director and Program Associate to:

* Research films

* Pre-screen films and prepare screening notes

* Obtain information about and process incoming films

* Organize and maintain online film library

* Opportunity to spearhead independent projects

* Earn credit for school

On the Festival Production side you will assist in all event-planning and office administration aspects of getting ready for our 2018 Festival. Collaborating with the Director of Production, Program Associate, and other festival staff, you will:

* Work on logistics for events and screenings

* Research and pursue sponsorship opportunities for the Fall Festival

* Assist managers at screenings, fundraising events and more

* Prepare various reports and presentations with Microsoft Office software

* Earn credit for school

Interns typically work two days (8-10 hours) per week in a fun, fast-paced environment at our office in West Newton (free parking and public transport accessible). 

A passion for film and the arts and an interest in Jewish culture (no Jewish background required).
