Development & Fundraising Internship 2019


Description of the Position:

The Development & Marketing Intern at NEMPAC will gain experience working in a community non-profit music and arts organization. The position is part-time (12-15 hours per week) from February to May 2019. The intern will be an integral part of our fundraising team and will work under our Executive Director. He/she will assist at special programs and events with general administrative tasks related to donor relations and record keeping and will get familiar with using a donor management CRM. The position is ideal for someone looking to build their resume, and for the right candidate, the position could lead to a permanent position. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Data entry and reporting in a donor database
  • Creation of new donor records and maintaining new gift entries
  • Assisting in our Annual Appeal Mailing
  • Assist at special events and special programs when needed
  • Help manage and keep up-to-date data content on our website
  • Assist Ex. Director of NEMPAC with other various administrative tasks


ยท This position is for an enthusiastic candidate who is passionate about becoming more involved in a rapidly growing, community-based arts organization. The right candidate will:

  • have an undergraduate or graduate degree
  • be very organized, detailed oriented, and have a strong work ethic
  • excellent communication skills
  • excellent writing skills
  • positive attitude, and willingness to succeed 
  • experience in non-profit fundraising, or involvement in an arts administration degree training program
  • have a background or strong interest in music education or performance
