Program Coordinator


The Program Coordinator is responsible for all activities related to scheduling and coordinating YAMA’s arts programs in Pre-K – 12 schools, and other learning centers throughout Massachusetts. This full-time position provides an opportunity to play a key role in Massachusetts' only statewide arts organization for children. The Program Coordinator works closely with YAMA’s 135 artists and Program Manager.

Job Description

  • Manages the scheduling and logistics for YAMA programs consulting with schools and community organizations to help them select programs that best address their needs.
  • Maintains and updates our contact lists and program data using the Salesforce Customer Relations Management (CRM) system. Customizes our Salesforce forms and processes as needed.
  • Tracks program market trends through communication with educators, cultural enrichment coordinators, PTO’s and artists, and with online tools. Generates reports on program sales data.
  • Tracks program evaluation data from schools and committee members; shares feedback with artists in a sensitive and timely fashion.
  • Assists with YAMA's annual Showcase & Youth Arts Coordinator Summit events.
  • Supports the Finance Manager with artist financial information and school payment information.
  • Communicates routinely with cultural enrichment coordinators/schools, reaching out to both active and inactive accounts
  • Assists with other marketing efforts and institutional collaborations as needed
  • Assists with special projects and organizational support as assigned by the Executive Director
  • Outstanding customer service skills (verbal/phone/written/interpersonal)
  • Strong computer skills: this position will require use of the Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail and other Google applications, and Adobe Suite (Reader/Acrobat, Design programs a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and self-direct amidst a high volume of requests
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Experience in the arts and/or arts-related customer service preferred. Passion for the arts and the education of children is essential.
