Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) in Lowell, MA, seeks a part-time Marketing Sales Assistant to coordinate group sales, student matinee sales, program advertisement sales, and audience development research/outreach for the theatre’s seven-play season, which focuses on the development of new works.


· Manage sales and communications campaigns, as well as site management, for group sales and student matinee sales efforts, including the development, execution and distribution of collateral materials (print, email and digital media)

· Manage the ongoing program advertisement campaign for both paid and trade partners, including the solicitation of new partners, the collection of artwork, and facilitate contracting and invoicing services

· Research audience development opportunities for specific audiences, such as college students, young professionals, and affinity groups

· Track and maintain budgets, pricing guides and revenue reports

· Other tasks as assigned


The Marketing Sales Assistant position is an hourly, part-time position (12 hours a week at $14 an hour), beginning in June. The position reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications. · Two years of related experience with a concentration in the non-profit arts, culture or entertainment, preferred

· Strong computer skills, especially with Excel, email platforms, CMS software and CRM/ticketing systems

· Ability to juggle multiple projects with strong attention to detail; a commitment to goals and timelines; and the ability to manage overlapping ventures in a demanding environment
