What is hireCulture.org?

hireCulture.org is an on-line, searchable database of cultural employment opportunities in Massachusetts. It's a free and efficient way for job seekers to connect with a wide-range of Massachusetts' cultural employers. Job seekers will find employment listings from both not-for-profit and for-profit cultural organizations.

Do I need to register or use a password?

No. hireCulture.org was designed with the job-seekers needs in mind. We wanted to keep things simple, quick - and free. Just choose your job search criteria and hit "Go!" Our database will deliver job descriptions and employer contact information for the all positions that meet your criteria.

Do I need to be a Massachusetts resident to use hireCulture.org?

No.

Does hireCulture.org offer any other job-related services?

In addition to our searchable database of cultural employment listings, hireCulture.org offers links to other print, email and internet resources. If you have an idea for something you'd like to see on hireCulture.org, feel free to contact us.

What kinds of employers can post their listings here?

hireCulture.org was created by the MCC to connect Massachusetts cultural employers and job seekers. Any cultural organization can post employment opportunities.

Do I have to pay to use this service?

No. hireCulture.org is a free service of the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

I've just registered. How long until I receive my password?

Password confirmation is emailed to the organization's contact by the end of the next business day.

Is there a limit to the number of positions my organization can post?

No. Once an organization is registered, they can submit job listings as often as they would like.

How soon will my job listing appear on the website?

In most cases, a job listing will appear almost immediately.

Can I post a job listing if my organization is not in Massachusetts?

hireCulture.org is a service dedicated to the Massachusetts cultural sector. As long as an organization's programmatic activity takes place in Massachusetts, an employer can list with hireCulture.org.

My organization already lists job opportunities on our website. How can I connect with your site?

First, you need to register and receive a password. Although we encourage you to send us complete job listings, we can present a link to your organization's employment opportunities page.

I've forgotten my password. What do I do?

On the entry page, you will find the link Forgot Your Password? This will send an email that contains your password to you automatically, provided the contact email address you provide matches the contact email address included as part of your organization's registration information.

What happens to my job listing after it reaches the "end date"?

Following the end date, job listings are archived. Registered organizations can access these expired job listings in a read-only format.

How do I edit an existing listing?

Organizations can access any current employment listing by entering their password on the home page and selecting "Go!" The resultant page includes links to view and edit current listings as well as your organization's contact information.
