The Massachusetts
Cultural Council (MCC) is a state agency dedicated to
the belief that culture can build stronger, more vital communities.
The MCC promotes excellence, access, education and diversity
in the arts, humanities and interpretive sciences in order
to improve the quality of life for all Massachusetts residents
and to contribute to the economic vitality of our communities.
For more than 30 years, MCC has proudly invested in the cultural
life of Massachusetts. The MCC receives an annual appropriation
from the state legislature and the National Endowment for
the Arts. It then makes thousands of grants supporting public
programs by not-for-profit cultural organizations, schools,
communities and working artists.
